Also known as collagen induction therapy or skin needling, micro-needling is an advanced cosmetic treatment to help combat fine lines and wrinkles.

This advanced treatment involves puncturing the skin with tiny sterile needles to promote the body’s natural collagen production. By creating new collagen, the skin becomes smoother, firmer and more toned.

Essentially, microneedling is a ‘natural’ alternative to injecting the skin with collagen, as you are using the needles to stimulate your body’s own production of collagen.

It is ideal as a non-surgical treatment of various conditions such as ageing, wrinkles, scarring, acne, and hyperpigmentation. Our Raffine system is safe, effective and good for all skin types. It can be used to stimulate elastin and collagen all over the face and body.

Microneedling is the process of applying very fine needles to the skin in order to stimulate the body’s own production of natural collagen. This collagen production causes the skin to appear firmer and smoother over time, giving the client a youthful, radiant look.

These needles can vary in length and depth which can impact the results you can expect to see. We at kitui are trained to the highest level of certification in microneedling, meaning we can offer the maximum depth with the micro-needling pen.  Which depth you need is something which will be discussed at your consultation. The depth of the needle depends on the desired effect and each individual’s pain tolerances / threshold. We apply numbing cream when needed to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible throughout the treatment.

So you know what to expect, we have detailed the steps of our treatment below:

Step 1: Cleanse the skin

Step 2: Enzyme peel

Step 3: Micro needling (numbing cream applied before this stage where needed)

Step 5: Apply sheet / gold mask to the skin

Serum / moisturisers and hyaluronic acid are applied throughout the procedure and the microscopic pinpricks created from the microneedling treatment allow all the products to go deeper than with any other treatment. That means your skin reaps more of the benefits from each of the serums that we apply.

We recommend booking a course of three microneedling treatments booked 4 to 6 weeks apart. This is because normally a course of three is  recommended for good collagen induction.

Microneedling isn’t an overly painful procedure but it isn’t pain-free either. However, there are ways that discomfort can be minimised, such as by using numbing creams. After the treatment, initially your skin will be a little swollen and there may be a little bleeding or minor bruising from the pinpoints. This is totally normal and your skin will settle.

Within days to several weeks your skin will look and feel plumper more radiant, smoother and more youthful.

Within the 3-4 months the full effects of this amazing treatment can be seen.
