Fit for a princess

little princess trust hair donation

For regular readers of our blog it will come as no surprise to read an entry about our continued and dedicated support for The Little Princess Trust.

For our new readers, let us tell you a little bit about the charity, what it means to us and how we here at The Wonderful Wig Company and Kitui Hair Design help out.

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs to both children and young people with hair loss, and also funds vital research into childhood cancer. This tremendous charity heavily relies on clients like ours to step forward and make a difference to children and young adults up to the age of 24.

Here at the Wonderful Wig Company and Kitui, hair loss is very close to our hearts. We serve many women on a daily basis and supply just as many wigs across the North East and further afield. Our founder, Nicola Wood has experienced this first hand so knows how much of a difference a tailored, good quality wig that is produced in a caring and passionate environment can make.

But, enough about us. Presently, most wig services only supply adults so it seems only right we do our bit and support our younger sisters.

At the time of reading, we have donated a total of 25 full heads of female adult hair to the trust. That equates to approximately 50 metres of hair – that’s taller than Grey’s Monument in Newcastle’s city centre!

Since 2004, the Little Princess Trust has provided over 8,000 real hair wigs to sick children. We are overjoyed to know that we here at The Wonderful Wig Company have played a vital role in that. The Duchess of Cambridge has also donated her hair!

We want to thank you for reading this post, and if you are thinking of donating your air to this wonderful cause please do pop in to see us in our salon. We would be delighted to talk through the process and have a chat in more detail about how your donation changes lives.

Please don’t suffer in silence with your hair loss. At Kitui Hair Design we have the solution for every need and if you’re under 25, the chances are we can get it completely funded for you.
